Poetry inspires and uplifts me. Hopefully you will be inspired too. Here are poems, songs, puns, of many subjects. Look and you will find poems about the environment, nature, spirit, and family. There are poems about everyday life both good and bad times, sad and happy times. Best of all there are poems about love, my faith and the developing philosophy of a seeker.
LINDA L. SCHREIBER has written on many subjects, but her main subject is love. Here in this volume are poems written by her as the dawning of the Age of Aquarius began to shine its Light upon us all. Inspired by love, by beauty, by life, Linda has received her passion from the intensity of this adventure called life.
Metaphysical yet earthy and with all her senses sharpened and extended, the poet in her speaks the words of the mystery that exists on the other side of pure reason, the intuitive and collective unconscious, the well spring of creation.
Some poems in this book inspired her to write Loved by the Light, a New Age Manual in Prose and Poetry. Linda’s alchemical fire was started by the friction of the Resolution of Opposites, energized by the sacred fires of Logos and Eros, inspired by the Light and grounded in the Tao of Yin and Yang.
Excerpt
THE LIGHT EXPERIENCE
When I saw the Light
Shining above
When I saw the Light
I was feeling love.
There was a song in my heart
I was feeling so high
I had left my life behind
Only love could be my guide.
I went up to the mountain
To meditate with the sky
Said goodnight to the sun
Darkness came by and by.
We were sitting there singing
Of courage and of love
And when we finished Greensleeves
There it was shining above.
Big as a house, and round
Without a sound, a soft white Light
Floated above the trees like a cloud
In the dark, moonless night.
And as we looked on in wonder
At this awesome scene
At life's pure energy
Consciousness that could be seen.
Off into the distance it spread
Thinning to tiny points of Light
Until all we could see dispersed
And move off out of sight.
What were we and who were we
Gathered on that mountain top?
Seekers of wisdom, truth and love
Zen meditators, the whole lot.
While we stood there full of wonder
Someone finally spoke and said,
"If I ever become enlightened,
I'll bet........
I probably won't believe it,
........and yet"
