(From: Understanding Internal Limits and External Boundaries in Relationships) My lack of ability to determine my personal limits and exercising those boundaries with others has had everything to do with the disease of Addiction and the addictive process in my relationships. It sounds like I am referring to limiting the use of addictive substances. In the strictest sense, I am. But, understanding how crucial it is to know one's limits for health and safety is not just about addictive substances. I have come to understand that knowing my internal limits and exercising them is crucial to the health of every relationship I have . . . (Poem: "Mirror Image") Spirits soar and marvel!
