The summer I (supposedly) graduated, I went to Florida with my best friend, Cammy Edmonds. I had never seen the ocean and we decided to hitch-hike. Now, I understand that you just don’t do that anymore. But, in those days it was fairly safe to “catch a ride”. So, early one morning we took off, against both mothers’ objections.
