An eclectic collection of lyrics written over the years since the 1950s along with comments on when, where, how and why I wrote them. Also a few lead sheets for musicians and some exposition on the music industry.
The collection includes lyrics from songs I had recorded by artists such as Carl Perkins, Paul Simon, Fred Neil, Eddie Fontaine, Lillian Briggs, and many others on labels such as Columbia, RCA Victor, Brunswick, London, Tibor, Sunbeam, Baton, Justice, etc., as well as songs that were never recorded and a few that are slated to be recorded in future motion pictures.
In some instances I provide case histories on the progression from getting an idea to writing it to pitching it, negotiating with agents, managers, record companies, etc., to the final recording and release.

I can’t endure toujours amour,
I need a rest and cure, Cheri.
You know I care, but I declare,
Let me come up for air, Cheri.
The whole world knows
that quelque chose
Is fun and so risqué
But, mon petit chou
I cannot do this
Each and every day!
Oh, do not weep, amour will keep
But now I need some sleep, Cheri.
I’m not demure, I’m quite mature
And though I love amour, for sure…
Toujours Amour’s too much.
