Life on a Seesaw Volume III of Circle of Life Trilogy by South Carolina artist Carol L. Funke and Arkansas poet/author Patricia A. Oplinger debuted November 14, 2009.
Late Love
He's alone. She's alone.
And in the midst of all that loneliness
those who are left behind
find each other
or re-find each other.
From acquaintances
to friends
to intimates
and to their utmost joy
most amazingly
lovers.
Those who are alone
turn to each other,
their soft used flesh
renewed in an understanding embrace
and in their hearts
such gratitude,
such deep gratitude.
