In Sleepers Awake, a mysterious organization called the
Ministry of the Wraith relies on undead bounty hunters to hunt and
destroy evil. Bishop Kane is one of these supernatural bounty
hunters, a citizen of a dark world filled with gliding monsters
hiding behind the thin guise of human flesh. Kane’s mission is
to return to the small Alaska town where he was killed nearly
thirty years ago to assassinate a woman who unknowingly
holds within her an ancient evil. That woman is his daughter,
whom he thought dead. When her husband, the local Sheriff,
foils the assassination attempt, her true identity is revealed.
A series of cataclysmic events threaten to destroy every living
resident in the town and beyond. As darkness falls, a growing
army emerges from the shadows led by a woman both men
have loved, a woman both men have vowed to kill before the next sunset.
