Science fiction versus the Old West!
Robert Sobriette, a “man’s man” of the times is disgusted with his job and its consequences. An agent sent out to set up political assassinations, he quickly becomes disillusioned and strives to break free. Once entrenched, getting out unscathed and unaffected is virtually impossible, being that he works for a duty-bound, egotistical sycophant, Captain Maurice Colbert. Colbert heads the western unit of a 1900 Special Services Forces that eliminate undesirable up and coming political aspirants.
Captain Maurice Colbert is a company man to the letter and Sobriette’s nemesis. Purposefully sabotaging his latest assignment, Colbert calls Sobriette on the carpet but fails to crush his independent spirit. Sobriette states his piece, throws down his badge and makes a run for it on his horse, Cloot. Colbert sends his troops to track his rebellious operative down. Riding for his life through the Arizona backcountry, Sobriette takes into account an old friend’s recommendation and puts himself in the hands of an off-the-wall Prescott attorney. A handsome rogue, Sobriette spends an insightful and passion-filled night with the attorney’s secretary and falls hard for her.
Called into play, the traveler, Dan Williams, makes an abrupt and startling appearance and leads Sobriette along an unlikely path. Whisking him to the distant hills to escape Colbert’s agents, Dan attempts to befriend the stalwart and handsome Sobriette, whose only thought is revenge against Colbert and his subversive agency.
