He has a space program that far surpasses anything that the world has ever known. Or so he thought...      Tarceeyal, the captain of a group of alien explorers, discovers a new race of beings in which they dub terrans. They befriend a secret organization set aside from the rest of the terrans whom reveals that another species has been visiting the Earth for years and presenting new technology to them without the permission of Vorbes, The Intergalactic High Council that rules the universe. The secret organization comes under attack for rescuing them and they escape back to their home world to warn of an evil plot to take over the universe. Excerpt Chapter Twenty-Seven The nights' sky was deep purple, partly cloudy, and had a full moon that bathed the earth in its' radiance. Belle Isle, for some odd reason, was peaceful this night. The geese slumbered quietly on the grass not far from the waters' edge. The deer tiptoed quietly through the woods. The island itself wasn't packed with teenagers looking for fun and excitement, thus causing the Detroit Police Departments to temporarily block off Jefferson Avenue from the Lodge freeway to Belle Isle. The only excitement coming from this location on this wonderful night was a couple, whom were in the midst of making love, sighting a strange object gliding through the silent nights' sky. Nearer and nearer the lighted object loomed until it finally flew over them. There was no mistaking the fright in her voice when she spoke. "Did you see that D?" "Hell yeah I saw that. What in the hell was it?" he asked quickly rolling off atop of Lisa. The two of them were naked and their bodies glistened with sweat in the moonlight from their lovemaking. They hurriedly put their clothing back on even though they had to maneuver around each other to do so. He being tall and slender and her being short and nimble made things kind of awkward moving in the cramped back seat of the neon. The fact that they were very dark skinned made it hard to see them as they blended in with the color of the car. As they moved around her long hair got tangled up in his foot as he tried to put his shoe on. "Ow." She said testily and he apologized. "Do you think that we should go and tell the police? The station is only right on the other side of the Island next to the entrance by the playground." She asked and then climbed into the front passenger seat after D had gotten into the drivers' seat. "Hell naw girl is you crazy? Both of us is high and drunk." he said on the verge of hysteria. He sniffed the air and then finished. "And we smell like we been fucking, shiiit. We getting the fuck out of here is what we gone do." He started the car up and pulled off. He was nervous and sweat dripped from his chin. Slowly he pulled away from the pond and crossed the bridge. His eyes were wide with fright as he crept down the strip. When he rounded the bend they saw two squad cars speed around the cut off section and kept going. "Fuck. Lisa, how is your license?" He asked pulling up to a full stop. "My license is alright, why?" He put the car into park and said, "Good, now climb on over and drive us out of here." He started to maneuver around her and she stopped him. "Why? What's wrong with you driving us out of here?" she asked with a confused look on her face. "Look, my license is suspended and." He then got angry all of a sudden and said, "Girl you know that I told you that I got warrants! Get over here and drive us out of here now. Damn, what are you trying top do get us arrested?" "Naw, I aint trying to get us arrested." "Good, now get over here and drive." He told her and they each again fumbled around trying to climb around each other. She put the car into drive and drove around the rest of the Island. When they reached the wooded area, they saw about four police cruisers and two police SUV's parked on the side of the woods. One of the officers waved them by hurriedly and she obediently drove past them. After that she decided to speed up and get off of the Island as quickly as possible. "Sir, we just got a call from the Canadian authorities stating that a strange flying ship, believed to be a U.F.O., has landed on the Island. What do you want to do?" Just then the telephone leapt off of the hook as it rung once more and she turned to answer the call. "Hello, this is the Belle Isle Police Precinct. What is your emergency?" "This is Captain Dejuan Coletrain of the U.S. Coastal Guard speaking. Is your Captain in?" the captain politely asked. "Yes, he is standing right here. I'll put him right on for you." The operator said in an off handed sort of way, then turned to Captain Howard Pickleton, and handed him the telephone. "Sir, it's for you." The captain grabbed the phone, raised it up to his ear, and answered it. "This is Captain Pickleton speaking." "Captain Pickleton, this is Captain Coletrain from the U.S. Coast Guard speaking." "Well hello Captain Coletrain. To what pleasure do I owe this call?" "Well sir, to be truthful, we have a situation there on your Island." "Oh? And what type of situation is that sir?" The captain asked narrowing his eyes in suspicion. He didn't like surprises and that was especially when the Coast Guard was involved. "Sir, the type of situation that I'm speaking of is top secret. Do you understand me?" Captain Coletrain stated in a matter of fact way. "Yes, I understand. Go on ahead." "Captain Pickleton, as you know that we have been thrust into a war with North Korea and we are already at war in the Middle East. We are taking every security precaution possible to insure the safety of the United States of America and its' citizens. We have sighted an Unidentified Flying Object landing in the Belle Isle territory. We don't know if this is some type of spy ship or some type of extra terrestrial ship landing on U.S. soil. However, please be advised that the U.S. military has been called on this issue ands th at we will be docking alongside the Belle Isle coastline. I want all of the officers to clear the Island of any civilians present. I want you to make visual contact with the U.F.O. and proceed with extreme caution. Do not attempt to touch, board, or communicate with the object unless the circumstances call for it. We will be there en masse within the hour. Is all of this clear?" Captain Howard Pickleton of the Detroit Police Department knew that he was outranked in this matter. What else could he do other than follow the commands? "Yes, I understand sir. The matter shall be handled properly." "Good, I'll see you soon captain." The two captains hung up from each other leaving captain Pickleton in a bind. The night had started out looking promising. There was hardly anybody cruising around. No rapes, drug violations, shootings, or worse were being reported. He was actually enjoying himself this night and was about to eat the lunch that his wife had packed for him to eat at work until all of this started. Now he had a situation on his hands that was a much bigger problem than the usual crimes being committed. He grabbed his lunch and then told the operator to alert all patrols to the fact that we have a U.F.O. landed on the Island. The operator thought that he was kidding at first until he noticed the look on the captains' face. Seeing that this was no time to be joking, she relayed the orders. "This night almost seems like the quiet before the storm." He muttered to himself darkly and then stepped out of the precinct.

"The Star Explorer: the Discovery" is an intriguing work of fiction from author Shannon Clements. Designed to entertain the reader, this work follows the life of Jacleeryall Vincent West, a man who is living a double life.

As the head of Mind & Body Therapy Corporation, West is the most powerful black man in the nation. However, the cooruption that has taken over the world has also affected Mr. West. Unbeknownst to others, he has formed an underground organization called Neo-Stasis and Neo-Star. In this arena, West is known as the Grand Admiral, a person in control of this secret society. He believes that the space program that he has developed far surpasses any other in the universe.

However, West learns that there is something out there in competition with him. Tarceeyal, the captain of a group of alien explorers, discover a new race of aliens that they call "terreans." With the discovery of the Vorbes, the Intergalactic High Council. they soon discover that humans have been receiving new technology for years. Shortly thereafter they learn about a plot to take over the world.

"The Star Explorer: The Discovery" is an exciting work of fiction that combines elements of science fiction with mystery to entertain the reader. Shannon Clements work may appeal to a wide variety of readers.
