It’s been a long time coming, but Flight of a Lifetime has finally been released! Published by Athena Press it is available on Amazon and can be ordered through Gardners from any UK bookshop or through Ingram Book Distribution at US bookshops. There is no news yet as to who will stock it, though. Over here I shall use my powers of persuasion, as for the States I am lost. Go and buy it though: you will thank me for it. After university I got my dream job, working with horses. All was going well until December 1994 when my life changed forever. Crossing the road on the way to work, I was hit by a car... I 'died'! Since being hit by that car I went through a period of great change and learnt many things; I had experiences I did not understand and saw things mankind maybe should not see. I started writing these things down. I will never preach to anyone, but what started as an autobiography about my life, my death and my resurrection has evolved into a truly inspirational book, designed to motivate readers to better themselves and help others.
Flight of a Lifetime is a very good read; it will make the reader laugh and cry at the same time. In spite of its theme, it is not a miserable book - I wrote about my death and made it funny!
I urge you to read the book and be inspired; better yourself and think about how your actions affect the world. It will cheer you up and, though it may not change the world, it may make people's perception of the world change. If enough people read it we may all end up getting along and stop fighting - a book to end all wars?

BANG!! The car hit me. Quite what happened nobody knows; my memory appears to have stopped the night before the accident, though that whole week may be lost in the mists of time. I feel certain that whatever small part of my brain, enrolled to remember the days surrounding my accident, was expelled - burnt up like a Christian worshiper at a satanic cookery school as my brain cells fried.
“You’re lucky,” I was told. “You don’t want to remember what happened.”
Like turning off a computer before a file is saved, the brain shuts down in moments of intense stress, erasing the events that caused that catastrophe from any hope of remembrance. Yet I was on a bus and I never travelled on buses around London. This coincidence, so close to my accident, is one too many; I want to remember.
It is a cliché, told by parents to their children to make them wear clean underpants: “If you get knocked down by a bus tomorrow…” The trouble was it happened... It happened to me... It could have happened to anyone…
