My only qualification to dare put anything in writing about anyone's book is that of being a reader trying to understand the wonders of such beautiful writings as The Battle of the Undites in the Coming Age of Darkness. Although I am a medical doctor by profession I also double as a normal person and happen to be a present-day ‘Undite’ - a Christian, that is.
I see so many seeds of 'Darwinolutionism' in our society today. I say this as someone who lived the first - and still greater - half of his life under socialism and communism in Europe and by migrating to Australia finds that there is no escape from the powers of evil which corrupt human nature. Democracy is being chipped away at an incredible rate. The good news is that I found my peace with the Creator and Saviour a few years after my arrival and my perspective has changed. I observe rather than rebel these days and I have grown to seek answers to my problems in the good news of the Gospel.
This book is an excellent spiritual shake-up and started to talk to my soul immediately. The futuristic-educational approach is greatly appreciated in a world which vehemently wishes to base raising the future generations on a purely scientific foundation, yet forgets the same ideals when it comes to contemplating the origins of our species.
When preparing for university studies I was not given an alternative to the materialistic views of the then ruling Marxist - Leninist regime in my native country. This is understandable under the circumstances, however I always noted the major shortcomings of their teachings on the world's origin, life, evolution, the human mind and spirituality; these still tend to have the common denominator of being ‘complex issues’ and do not fit in with the rigorous criteria of methodical science. Therefore, ‘scientific theories’ - huge contradictions in themselves - are concocted and sold as proof and evidence of highly questionable explanations about the most fundamental issues of humankind.
By now I have, of course come to appreciate the ‘other dimension’ and currently I enjoy what is known as ‘scientific creationism’ as being obviously opposed to modern science, which has clearly failed to come up with the coveted evidence for its theories.
Unfortunately, to this date, modern education remains opposed to any equilibrium, or balance in its teachings. I observe that even in many well-meaning Christian schools they talk about the Big Bang and the mode of extinction of the dinosaurs and many similar topics in just the same 'factual' way as in secular schools. Practically there is no difference in the basic ideology of the defunct socialist - communist system and modern humanistic democracy! This worries me a lot.
I have good hope in this book with its imaginative approach, that it will appeal to many young and of course not so young souls. I found it enriching and entertaining and I was able to read it in a very short time taking my family and professional commitments into consideration. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a soul-searcher or otherwise. There is as much fun here as serious matters which makes the fabric of this excellent Christian fiction almost palpably realistic.
Last time I had this feeling of detailed futuristic realism was when I read Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.
The first edition, The Unbelievers in the Age of Darwinolutionism was the first breath of fresh air in this difficult genre which sowed the seeds of the revised edition, The Battle of the Undites in the Coming Age of Darkness in such a brilliant and vivid way that it put Huxley's novel to the same shelf with dark and dry pieces of faithless imagination. I could hardly wait for the publication of the new developments in the Undites book. The wait seemed too long, but it was positively worth it.
This life-size epic will delight readers and entertain and admonish them. Everybody will meet the challenge of their lives at some stage and will have to make a decision. I thank God that the author provides this opportunity for each individual to repent and commit to Christ. I believe that by reading this book many people will be led to become ‘Undites’ too.
May the Lord open to you the spiritual enrichments in these pages as much as you will enjoy reading about them.

Since my first review, which actually happened to be the above quoted introduction, many months have passed. Unfortunately I had to move on from the area where I could meet Tom personally to fully dedicate myself to the needs of disadvantaged elderly patients. This book opened my mind to the general truths of the "real war with principalities" - a powerful reality both at present and, foreseeably, in the future. Tom's book holds a mirror to all of us, Christian or otherwise, to re-evaluate our place in the epic battle of the ages. Many readers will certainly not feel the ever-growing influence of evil he so vividly and expertly portrays in his book, however, the call of book is clear: make your decision today to be enlisted in Christ's Army. The word "future" almost automatically implies some distant, blurry point to which it is difficult to relate now. Tom seems to have captured this time in the future in a way that can be reflected back to the present. He is talking to the present, to all of us, now. Let us pray that we are counted to be among the flock of our great Protector through Jesus Christ and make our lives count for Him! Let us be encouraged in Tom's beautiful way by discovering our own Guardians and hold onto our faith!
