"Beast" is a sports memoir that depicts key events occuring throughout the youth league baseball career of an accomplished high school pitcher who is autistic. These events are narrated and interpreted by a fictional narrator that is based loosely on the central character's first baseball coach.
Sherlyn Powell opens up about her love and devotion to her family and the overwhelming repercussion when communication breaks down. Heartbroken and distraught she learns to release her prayer and realize with faith God would reunite her family.
