Decadent December is filled with strange, diverse characters, all of them with a secret. You might think that Kelsey Garrison, the main character, would be a stable island in this sea of chaos. But no, she's as wacky as the rest of them. Kelsey Garrison is a young, impulsive, flighty, busy body. She says anything that pops into her head, sometimes only to get a rise out of other people. She acts up and acts out and does things I would never do--only because I don't have the nerve. It's fun to see what she'll do next. Kelsey is touted as having psychic powers. Those powers don't come into play much in this book because Kelsey is constantly denying them. I have the feeling that the author is building the character slowly for other books. If that is so, I will be first in line to read them.
