Why did these acts of hatred begin upon the death of my husband? Haven't I been through enough? Is it his old lover? I heard she is insane!
Rosemary’s Beach House
Rosemary Lewis discovered her husband, Dalton, in her bed with Beth, the neighbor next door. The life she shared with him ended. Rosemary had tried hard to be the perfect wife: the poor woman worked faithfully at her job as a registered nurse. Her housekeeping skills seemed pristine, even working outside on the lawn, everything, she did with love and devotion to Dalton, but her actions weren’t enough. After the divorce, she threw herself into nursing.
Suddenly, she met Malcolm Beach, a wealthy, sophisticated, beautiful man who represented more than her wildest dreams. When he asked her to marry him, life took on a new realm. Joy surrounded the two as they traveled all over the world to their various homes. Rosemary even mastered sailing which they enjoyed during summers on their boat, Ruth.
Without warning, Malcolm died with a brain tumor. Devastation once again descended on poor Rosemary, but that wasn’t all. Acts of hatred frequently waited for her such as spray paint on front of her door, keying of her car, even a dead animal on the front steps. Friends confided that Malcolm once loved another woman whom they labeled as insane. Rosemary wondered if the old lover was the culprit? Soon enough, the violent acts escalated. Terrified for her life, Rosemary had good reason to be afraid.

ROSEMARY BEACH
PROLOGUE
Tonight is the end of the madness! One of us will live to take another breath. The other’s life is over. She deserves to die. After she stole my life with HIM. How dare she think that she can strut around being the grieving widow? It is difficult for me to picture the two of them together. He could not have loved someone so undignified. She was always just a silly woman. Never did she accomplish anything of substance.
I remember Malcolm well. All of his accomplishments: his brilliant education and philanthropy, all wasted on her!
They looked ridiculous together. Not because of the age difference, most wealthy, successful men, given a choice, prefer a younger woman. Someone whose essence is beautiful and gives her mate a youthful take on life. These simple things keep a man happy and eager to spend every moment with his wife instead of an old woman who moans and complains. The younger women I know who are married to older friends and they are many; these women adore their husbands. It must be gratifying to look in your husband’s face seeing admiration instead of a wish that he had left when given the chance.
I am not a monster or a selfish person since I have lived a wonderful life ——— brilliantly educated, highly successful with a thriving career; travel; and wealth all due to hard work and motivation. Always, I believed I would end with a husband worthy of me. Instead, I might die tonight lonely and bitter. Bitter because of her! Her, always her, she is my nemesis and opponent in an empty life. Without her arrival, my life should have filled with love and joyful memories. He could have given me everything I needed. Not just financially, but with the sharpness of a great mind.
I pictured Sundays reading the New York Times while working crossword puzzles, strolls through art galleries, and farmer’s markets all over the world. Things such as this should have been ours but will not occur due to her selfishness in taking my love and destroying my world. I hate her!
Symphonies and concerts, I will never enjoy with my husband while she did enjoy a wonderful life just handed to her by the man of my dreams.
The syringes with the paralyzing medicines are hidden, but I know their locations. I shall give the witch just enough of the potion to paralyze, but not end her life. Not yet, I want her to hear my diaries. I know much of what they did: the cruises, glamorous travels, and witty friends, whom she could not have understood, not their greatness because she was not great. Soon, I will enter her charming home with anticipation of what is about to occur. I have no regrets.

The format of this publication makes it easy for readers to follow the story as different characters enter and leave Rosemary's life.
This author's brilliant way of compartmentalizing what is happening to Rosemary takes the reader into this interesting woman's mind.
As we follow the author's writing of Rosemary's life, we are able to grasp the complexities of who Rosemary is and why she makes the decision she does.
As the story unfolds, readers cannot help but be drawn in and root for all the best for Rosemary and then Malcolm.
As far as suspense books go -- this one is at the top of the list. The author's gift for the unexpected yet realistic is certainly evident in this superb story. This story has an ending that is as it should be even though it was totally out in left field -- never saw it coming.
I can see a movie made with Rosemary's Beach House as the catalyst.
