Quantum of Solace
(Inspired by Yeats’ “The Second Coming”)
Written 2007
A tempest that would tear apart
foundations set in deepest stone
now seeds this thriving darkened harvest;
And to thee a faintest glimmer harkens hope
and yet, to me, my fatal visions
feast upon sharp pains of loss;
futile fading echoes;
Sounds that change the curve of time,
when past is touched… again
and future… can be ridden as a breeze...
