Andrew Nyongesa's dissecting poetry is a nice book in poetry. it provides sufficient guidance on how teachers and students should approach poetry but special emphasis is laid on the aspects of moood, attitude and tone.It is a book that simplifies poetry and makes it more interesting than ever, doing away with the notion that poetry is hard.I tried using it to each my students in class in Rhamu day secondary in Mandera County,Kenya and within a short period of time my students developed a positive attitude towards poetry.For the lovers of Poetry "dissecting poetry" by Nyongesa is a must read book.
