Chapter Five
Kaliepy’s Mistake
She had been walking what seemed to be forever and the hill still looked to be a great distance away. She was growing very tired and the darkness was melting over the sky, she was far from home. Kaliepy had begun to feel a little frightened; the eagerness that had captured her earlier seemed to have given way to uncertainty. She could no longer tell which way the kingdom was, she had not paid attention when she walking. She knew she must stop and rest for the night and maybe in the morning she could figure out which way to go to get back home, the hill was no longer of interest. As Kaliepy lay under the night’s stars, she wondered what her family was doing. Were they worried, or did they even realize she was missing? Did life in IT go on as if she had never left, or worse, as if she had never lived there? Everyone there is so wrapped up in themselves would they even care she was gone? She missed her family so much all she wanted was to see them again nothing else mattered, Kaliepy quietly cried herself to sleep.
