Some we remember for a short while because they are humorous, and some stir our interest enough to be considered helpful. Rarely, one advertisement captivates us and changes our lives forever. This is the story of one such ad.
CHAPTER 1
They’re looking right at me. Why can’t they see me? Every damn day—morning, noon, and night—this happens. No one knows I’m here. How can that be? All of them can see me. I want to wave my hands to them, but I can’t move at all. I can’t call out to them. My mouth feels stuffed with something, yet I can’t move my fingers to get it out.

“Get Fit, Eat Fast Food!” read the poster above the subway window. Bobby had noticed advertisements posted here many times before, but this ad seemed to leap out of its metal frame and demand his attention.
Bobby Fastow had ridden the subway to and from work for most of his adult life. As a low-to-middle-income, unskilled factory worker with a wife and two daughters, he had struggled from paycheck to paycheck. Sometimes, he felt there was something unfair about it all. It didn’t matter if his knees ached, he had a terrible cold, he felt down and out, or there was a foot of snow on the ground. No circumstance seemed to warrant a day off ”

Thomas Neviaser's little gem, 'You Dear, Sweet Man', is smart, sexy and an absolute delight. The book is beautifully written with top-notch editing. I hope to read more from this talented and engaging writer.
A smart, original, and well-crafted story
Not only did this book feature a believable dialogue, but I also found the characters to be well-developed and surprisingly down-to-earth. The writing made it easy to follow and even though the beginning moved a bit slow, the pace picked up nicely. I wasn't sure what to expect from You Dear, Sweet Man, but the fact that it presented some mystical and far-fetched ideas in such wonderfully realistic settings made for a really entertaining read. The ending definitely took me by surprise. It ended up being one of the most forward-thinking books I've read in a while.

This masterpiece of a scintillating puzzle, has no words wasted and the timing is impeccable. The fantasy is backed by details that come together in the end to leave the reader a thump of impact.
I loved this little story, and would read anything else that comes out of the imagination of the author, he has gained a fan. What I like most, is that this little metaphor tells more about many things that will pop up and perhaps influence the reader in many ways, a great read.
A very interesting and intriguing story. 'You Dear, Sweet Man' by Thomas Neviaser has a unique twist providing the reader with a little bit of everything. It is whimsical in ways, serious in others, surrounded by wit, a display of convoluted idea's showing the irresistible power of women over men and the folly a man can display under the control of the wiles of a beautiful woman.
The characters are very vividly described...my favorites being the inventors/computer geniuses; Freddie Poole and Preston Neville. However, you can't help watching Bobby Fastow, as he becomes representative of the male population, in some people's eyes. Thomas Neviaser seems to understand this all to well as he weaves the two main characters together. I enjoy how the author uses the book title, 'You Dear, Sweet Man' throughout the story.
The book is extremely charming, however very thought provoking regarding the male/female attitudes toward advertising and life.
