In this rough draft of a fictitious noverl, anything and everything can happen (lumberjacks can wax philosophically, God can be stranded on an island, and three men in a boat can eat peanut butter sandwiches and worship a kazoo). At its core it is the story of an average person struggling in the face of adversity - and failing.

Excerpt
The tale started with the birth of a child, and degraded quickly after someone murdered three elderly bakers. The bakers’ deaths were followed by the sudden and vicious destruction of a small town south of Parson Valley. The violence culminated with a failed real-estate venture and the senseless murder of a man called Horse. Before the bakers were killed, the bloodshed had been limited to a few villagers, a king, and a sled dog named Reginald. It all started when someone made the mistake of defacing a goat.

Wonderfully Hysterical
I was attracted to the book “The Hope Chest” by the bizarre description, and I am glad I was. A great novel, filled with great humour, strange coincidences, and furry woodland creatures. Sarcasm is this man's element. The way the author has combined so many different styles, jokes, and strange topics makes this into a class book.
I would advise every reader out there to drop any other comedy books, and come and read this!

The excerpt grabs the reader by the nose and drags them in, what a concept - "Before the bakers were killed, the bloodshed had been limited to a few villagers, a king, and a sled dog named Reginald"
I just had to download the free preview and soon began making noises at my modem to hurry up with it - it is incredible!
