I know that you love me without a question, yet stirring within is the knowledge that this can never be. I can never allow you to come as close as I would like. My heart wants more. But this can never be. I give with all that I have to give. With imperfections, my desire is to be there, no matter what. Wish I could do more. But never will this be. Feeling like a bruised loser I cry tears, nothing, in my heart can satisfy me more than loving you completely. But perhaps if I had let you in, earlier, then, I would not be musing on melancholy blues over a wet pillow. Or comforting myself with tortured thoughts of us. Yes, I know you feel the way you feel. Knowing I must move on, cause no matter what. Denial can be a bitch. And that's why I'm dealing with the reality. That this can never be. That you can never be where I need you to be. Heart closed. Mind on cruise control, I will continue to push forward taking my blooming flowers with me tucking in close near my ear, smiling and knowing that at least I tried this thing called Love.
