As Cam finished speaking, Koko began yelling, he threw his hands in the air and yelled, “DID YOU SAY THE CROCODILE CROCK SWAMP?” “Oh Cam, dear ole' mate, you didn't just say the CROCODILE CROCK SWAMP did you? Please tell me Cam, that that’s' not what you said.” Yelled Koco, as Wally stood shaking in fear with his teeth rattling. “I sure did, that’s my home, that’s the name of the swamp where I came from. That’s where my mama is, I want to find her Koco!” said Cam. “Don't you think it’s great that I know where I come from?” He said with a big, warm, crocodile smile. “Are you outta your fish nibbling mind, Cam? Listen mate, where we come from that swamp is off limits we can't go anywhere near that place. We have heard the stories about that place and we call it the Crock Pot Swamp. Do you know what they do to guys like us there, Cam, do ya, huh, do ya? Koco said out of breath.

Friends are people that we can always count on to help out, no matter the danger. This is true of Koco and his friends. Koco and Wally put aside the dangers that might come in helping Cam and embrace him as a true friend. I enjoyed both the writing and the pictures of this book. The characters are cute and you will be sure to fall in love with each one. This is a book that children, young and young at heart are sure to enjoy. As a substitute teacher, I am always looking for a good read aloud to take with me to classrooms. The Adventures of Koco and Friends is one that will top my list. I, as I'm sure every reader, will be looking forward to their next adventure.

Koco's adventure not only leads Koco to a world of exploration, but a new meaning of true friendship. Koco Koala and Friends is an excellent book for children of all ages. This book gives true meaning to life and the way we see and understand others, even though they may look different, that may not be the case at all. This is a wonderful children's book and I am proud to say that I have exposed my child, into a new world of understanding friendship.
