This is a very well written, easy to read (for my child with dyslexia) and illuminative children’s book. I was pleasantly surprised with the charming photographs of Liam the police horse. Not living in an area where police horses are utilized, this information was fascinating. In your mind you understand that police horses are a good thing in a community, but it is entirely different to 'see' them in their workplace--which is what this book conveys.
The easy-to-read print and message along with the remarkable pictures brings this career into focus for readers.
Also the camaraderie between the police horses and the K-9 units is an advantageous perk of having these animals working in the same department.
The time the author and illustrator have taken to publish this amazing publication shows on every page.
If little ones are a part of your life, this book would make a wonderful bedtime story.
