Tennessee Voices Anthology is published by the Poetry Society of Tennessee. It is a compilation of the winners of the challenging monthly contests and the annual Mid-South Poetry Festival in Memphis, TN.

Patricia A. Oplinger, member of the  Poetry Society of Tennessee  and the National Federation of State Poetry Societies, had "Time" selected as National Poetry Month Poem of the Day on April 11, 2012 in Deep South Magazine.

"Time" appears also in In the Playhouse of My Mind Volume I of Circle of Life Trilogy in both hardcover and audio book formats.

TIME

When hours between the two of you
pass too slowly;
when you've lost your tongue

when chores are sought as solice
and you spread the days
too thin

it's time for both
to drive down a country road
pull over,
turn the radio on
and dance in the gravel.

Bodies sway, voices hum;
the rhythmns of life
return as one.

Excerpt

Creativity and the sharing of that creativity is the loving circle this book chooses to trace. Dwelling in the playhouse of one's mind is a survival technique available to anyone at any age. Its results trickle down to touch the world.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
