This is Regis Auffray's fourth book to be self-published. It contains my short stories and personal quotes.
“Tales and Whispers” is this author’s first published collection of short stories and personal quotes.
As an aside, it seems that for Régis, the most difficult thing about publishing a book is finding an appropriate title. This time was not different at all. The author has a “back-up” title his readers may prefer. It is, “Tails and Whiskers;” after all, there are a creatures of all kinds mentioned in this book. Or, if you prefer, just come up with your own title.
The stories in this book are purely fictional but they still offer glimpses into the writer’s soul since they are born from inspiration, dreams and real life experiences. They touch on a myriad of themes that are common to all who have undertaken the journey through this particular life on this our home planet for the time being.
The author’s personal quotes are also born of dreams, reflections, and real life experiences interacting with people (some particularly engaging and life-changing) and facing unique situations. Each one is most meaningful and personal.
It is the author’s hope that the reader will be able to identify with, to understand and perhaps to empathize with the various situations, dilemmas, conflicts, miseries, euphoria etc. that are shared by means of his stories and quotes.
