The moon visit
It was not dawn, yet awakened by a light
Someone silently came calling on me soon
It was O! the moon that alighted bright and clear
Perched for some reason above my window sill so near
The radiance of rays, the magic in the glow
Brings greeting from its zone, on this day of full moon
We looked now eye to eye, engaged in the trance
I couldn't help but smile, but gazed on with pride.

Rows and rows of clay lamps lit up with little flames, brightly lit rooms decorated in many homes
It is festival of lights, family and friends gather, Come together to celebrate the festive cheer
The thirteenth lunar day of a dark fortnight, to see a part on earth all so lit up this day
Little mud lamps ,colored, filled with pure glistening oil, bright tongues of flames dancing on a wick thread tiny
Lighting up small huts, homes and high rise all over

Radha Krishna celebrating holi
Color festival
Celebrate immortal love
Of Radha Krishna
Passionate display
With gopis, they danced whole day
Color of Holi spread
Little Krishna said,
Radha’s skin fair; why mine dark?
Asked his mother that!
