Visions of the Soul, is a poetry colection which came to life when in 1984, I started putting pen to paper in poetic form what was a confirmation of emotions from hardships to success and faith to excess. I don't beleive that I'm world's greatest poet, but I write from the heart with intensity, conviction, emotion and truth.

Type or Throughout life we store information collected from experiences and try in some way to make sense of it. When we are not able to fully understand the things that occur in our lives, we often externalize the information. By doing this, we are afforded a different perspective, thus allowing us to think more clearly about difficult or perplexing events and emotions. Art is one of the ways in which we choose to externalize our thoughts. Within the arts, needs of expression differ, but poetry is a very powerful tool by which we can share sometimes confusing, sometimes perfectly clear, concepts and feelings with others. Intentions can run the gamut as well: We may simply want to share something that has touched our lives in some way, or we may want to get help to allay anxiety or uncertainty. The poetry within Visions of the Soul is from every point on the spectrum — every intention, every event or emotion imaginable. Some poems will speak to certain readers more than others, but it is always important to keep in mind that each verse is the voice of the poet, of a mind that needs to make sense of this world, of a heart that feels the effects of every moment in this life, and perhaps of a memory that is striving to surface. Nonetheless, recalling our yesterdays gives birth to our many forms of expression.

Simply Majestic
Pier
Texas, USA (8/27/2007) This is a refreshing and remarkable book. The title is fitting for the soul deep fountains of emotions that runs through her poetry. I enjoyed her writings, which are full of emotions of life, love and following your heart and using your imagination to make your dreams come true. Innovations of her art flowed through line-by-line. Visions of the Soul is a recommended majestic read.

This is a must-have for all poetry lovers!

Scotland (1/27/2005) Visions of the Soul Highly recommended This wonderful and poignant collection of poems gave me a glimpse into the heart of Samia’s soul. I took a walk with her through her beautifully written poetry. I spent time with her wandering along moonlit beaches. I was there when she praised our wondrous creator and felt the breath of His power. I shared with her a vision of innermost peace, hope and tranquility, then lurked in the shadows of her darkness. In some of her poems I felt the depth of her sadness touch my heart. Her poems about love are evocative, exquisite and passionate and swathed in a wonderful aroma of mystery. Thank you for sharing your visions with me, Samia, from one soul to another. This is a must-have for all poetry lovers!

Wonderful Poetry
Donna
Arkansas (1/10/2005) I have read a lot of poetry in my life. I have gotten chills with Edgar Allan Poe and his morbid rhymes. I have been saddened by Emily Dickenson's outlook on the world, and now I have been moved by Samia Muqueem in her poetry "Visions of the Soul". The poems are moving and heartfelt. You can tell a lot of time went into writing each and every poem. If you like poetry then this is definitely the book for you. I hope to see more from this talented author.
