The Song of Cunolugus is written as if it were an epic of the ancient Gauls, which means that the narrative is fast-paced and draws influences from other Celtic epic tales and mythology. My intention in writing the book was to create an epic hero for the Gauls on the same par as the Irish Cuchulainn. There are no myths or epics that have come down to us from the Gauls because they were an oral culture, and this book attempts to give their lost myths and legends a voice.
