God for man is at home, not away in distant skies. The kingdom of heaven and the hope of glory are within. Divinity lies buried under the motions of the Body and the scurrying of the Mind. It is the still small voice, drowned out mostly by the clamor of material and mental interests. It is a pure, mild Presence, awaiting the day when the Mind will give heed to its quiet speech.
The Supreme God is not available; but within the quietude of his own Body every man may find a fragment of that same God, made personal in his own individuality. He has placed in our nature a share of his own life. He has apportioned amongst all his creatures that measure of his power which each is capable of receiving. Chi or Oke-Chukwu (my share of God) is the name given by the Igbo of Nigeria to this share or portion of God residing in all creatures.
In man the indwelling Spirit is the Christos, the son of the Almighty Father. This portion of divinity within the Body is all of God that man can possibly absorb. The cosmic God is hardly an object of worship by humanity; but that segmented portion of God that is lodged within the Body of mortals – that is the actual divinity assigned to receive the attention, homage and worship of mankind, and to be eaten sacrificially.
Man is a triune entity comprising the Body and the Mind held together by the Spirit. The Mind is an organizing intelligence seated in the brain, from where it thinks, plans and imagines.
The Mind, amid life's din is bewildered and becomes an actor, wearing different masks to suit the different roles it has to play. It acquires a host of false personalities - an "I" for each situation. These false personalities aggregate on the surface of the Mind, forming a mask called the Ego.
Man's indigence arose from his total loss of contact with his own Spirit or God. The way to his salvation is the dissolution of this Ego and the re-establishment of the lost contact with his Spirit.
When the Mind surrenders its Ego to the Spirit, the latter becomes its friend, ally, Guide and Shepherd. We re-become as little children, fit to enter the Kingdom of the God within. Mind communing with Spirit is true worship.

It is a pure, mild Presence, awaiting the day when the mind will give more heed to its quiet speech.
The Supreme God is not available; but within the quietude of his own body every man may find a fragment of that same God, made personal in his own individuality. This is the knowledge contained in the lost wisdom of antiquity. Other than potentially, God in his wholeness is not present with man; but he has not left man without that measure of his grace that man can utilize. He has placed in our nature a portion, a share, of his own life. He has apportioned amongst all his creatures that measure of his ineffable power which each is capable of receiving. Chi or Oke-Chukwu (my share of God) is the name given by the Igbo of Nigeria to this share or portion God residing in all creatures. Yet potentially he has lodged the whole of himself in every man, for the share of his divinity that he has implanted in every creature is a portion of the whole of his being.

In our book titled "This Is What We Are!" we stated that the Mind or Soul is a system of related awareness made up of consciousness, the content of consciousness and the power that relates consciousness to its content. We also indicated there that the human Soul has a greater proportion of consciousness, relative to the content and power aspects of its triune constitution. The Soul is an organizing intelligence seated in the brain, from where it thinks, plans and imagines. The brain, which is in direct contact with the outer world, uses the sense organs to reflect external images. Thus are generated the activity and content of the Mind - thought, imagination, memory.
With a very developed mind, Man has been deluded into believing that he is all-powerful and has freewill. Consequently, he has neglected his own indwelling Spirit and has strived to live uniquely by his puny willpower. The mind can think and imagine - that is its inherent nature. And it has thought and imagined, to its detriment, a lot of meaningless schemes. The mind has made for itself a coat of many colors and has become an actor, wearing different masks to suit the different roles it has to play. It has acquired a host of false personalities - an "I" for each situation. This host of false personalities has aggregated on the surface of the mind, forming a mask that we call the Ego.
The only way to man's salvation is the dissolution of this Ego and the re-establishment of the lost contact with the indwelling Spirit. Man's indigence arose from his total loss of contact with his own Spirit or God. His ultimate salvation, therefore, resides in going back to the status quo ante when the Spirit took the lead and the Mind followed its Good Shepherd.
When the Mind surrenders its Ego to the indwelling Spirit, the latter becomes its friend and ally; and the Lord within then becomes the true Guide and Shepherd of the Mind. We re-become as little children, fit to enter the Kingdom of the God within.
Emmanuel Kannenechukwu Anizoba is my name. Emmanuel means God is within us, so why and where are we searching for him? Kaanenechuckwu means hope in God, i.e., place absolute trust in your God, be yourself and live fearlessly; and Anizoba means the Earth is my salvation - you stand on the Earth and can then point to the skies. Life must be first lived and celebrated here on Earth. The Spirit of Mother-Earth cares for all who dwell on the planet.
