Escaping to Rio de Janeiro, Ramon finds that he must start over, but doing so will not be easy. Pursued by those who want both his expertise in snake handling and the vast wealth he inherited from Dr. Noqueira, Ramon himself seeks a path to redemption. To find his way, he must guard his secrets carefully, navagate a corrupt government bureaucracy, and thwart a conspiracy that placed a toxic weapon of mass destruction in the wrong hands. Ultimately, Ramon faces two enemies who share the same goal of domination. He must find and eliminate the toxic substance, while simultaneously helping rebuild the town he single-handedly destroyed.

In his first novel, Snakes in the Grass, author Frank Sullivan has written a unique story of murder, revenge and moral redemption. Set in exotic Brazil, the story is set in motion with the murder of a doctor in a small village in the interior. From that true event, Sullivan’s imagination conjures up an entertaining story of snake venom used as a weapon of mass destruction and an ambitious and successful land reform program initiated by the man who murdered an entire family to avenge the death of his partner and friend, the doctor. Sullivan’s first-hand knowledge of Brazil adds authenticity to his page-turner of a story.

Snakes in the Grass is a must read for anyone who likes a great thriller...the story is not predictible like some thrillers, it offers great excitement that will keep you on the edge of your feet.
