The Grace of God is a book of “journey pieces” in poetry (prose) which questions and answers to her humanism. Ms. Perry states, I thank God for these “journey pieces” for they incorporate love, tears, laughter, irritation, joy, sadness and anger that has strengthen and blessed while allowing me the opportunity to truly look in the mirror at myself if I dare… and I dare because I do not claim to be perfect but I am forgiven and I choose to get back up and try again.

Starving for His Wisdom
Looking over the day as I prayed for your Wisdom;
I found I could not hear your voice.
Was it that I am not spiritual enough?
Was it that you spoke and I couldn’t understand?
Was it that I didn’t pray long enough or
the correct prayer?
Or was it that you didn’t …speak at all?
Whispers From The Window
……..Hush… let Him Speak,
He is the Beginning, He is the End of all things…
Hush.
Open the Windows of your Heart
and hear His Whispers to you…Hush…Listen…
He is the “Whispers from the Window”
that opens all you dare to dream ….
A Man Called Father
….a cry from his soul is heard, not clearly, not long, not truly
thought through…again and again, his soul is heard, but clarity fades away.
His eye contact shifty, his conversations limited
but his happiness apparent it was as it surrounded his voice with
introductions of us to others …his blessings.
Emptied his freezer, Fruits, vegetables filed his box,
hesitation appeared not once.
No emotion displayed as the car was packed
with the best of his offerings…
