The mind is a very rich, very fertile terrain in which anything can spring forth, all-natural and from even just one seed – including sin. Since anything can arise so organically, we will not always realize that the thoughts we cultivate and convert into actions are wrong or against God’s will.
This is very true with GOSSIP.
Through the subtlest suggestion or well-placed hint, we can be induced to engage in gossip, talk about other people and their personal lives as if it had been our business in the first place. Soon, our chins will wag against our neighbors, unmindful of the damage that we begin to inflict as soon as we open our mouths.
