Fifty.
Half a century. The sixth decade. Six hundred months.Any way we put it, it's an age most of us can't and don't avoid. What I can't understand is why people - especially women - make such a big deal out of turning fifty. It's almost like their worlds are about to come to screeching halts.
"Oh my God, I'm so old!" How many times have you heard that sentence?
Calm down, it's just a number. Remember the saying, "You're as old as you feel?" That's been my whole attitude for as long as I can remember. As a matter of fact, I feel better and a lot less paranoid about approaching fifty than I did thirty.
