A Taste of Reality is like a reality fairy tale that immediately pulls you in as physical bystander. Utilizing their brilliant use of descriptive language, authors Marla Hayes and Angela Falkowska brilliantly manage to allow the reader to visually see and feel what their main character, Terri, does. The story begins with 8-year old Terri listening to one of her Papa's bedtime tales while watching its visual on a makeshift wall screen...and readers listen and watch, too. From there, we are taken on a fairy tale adventure of Princes, Princesses, magical vineyards and dark secrets which ultimately, by story's end, unravels a powerful taste of reality for a grown Terri, now clearly understanding pieces of her past, present and future. It's so satisfying to read a book that will be read again and again.
