Held In Prayer
I ask a question into the night
As I silently kneel in prayer.
God above, is all this right?
Are you really there?
Suddenly, though I’m alone,
I feel content and loved.
It’s as though God hold’s me tight
And says, “I’m watching from above.”
Held in Prayer, in God’s embrace,
Silently I cry a prayer of thanks.
I feel the warmth that fills my soul.
I know He’ll be with me all of my days.
