Phoenix had entered Utopian air space. Hadria had deliberately taken a longer flight path to the UED headquarters to enable Oniga to enjoy the sights of the city in its early-morning splendour. Oniga continued to gaze out the transparent wall, watching the increasing volume of vecs buzzing below the much larger Phoenix like wasps. Hadria guided the sleek silver shuttle over the magnificence of Freedoms Bridge, which was shrouded in early-morning mist. They then headed between the colossal spirals of the Union Towers before finally arcing across the skies to land on the top of the UED headquarters. Admiral Sevra Oniga allowed himself a satisfied smile as Phoenix deployed its landing field, turned quarter-circle, and settled to a graceful stop on the landing stratum.

What a fabulous story very original look forward to the next book- this is book one of a trilogy. It would make a great film.

I loved the Robot series & Asimov is one of my favourite authors. Paul J. Ward takes on the mantle in the first of the ANDROID series, setting out his vision of the future. The novel really explores the relationship between humankind & their synthetic creations. A human faction want to oppress androids (how true that would be - why would the future be any different to today?) Looking forward to reading the continuation of the story in ANDROID: Mars. If you like Simmons, Reynolds, Banks, Baxter then you'll enjoy reading this. Thought provoking stuff.
