"Mabel," she shouted. "Your store is on fire.Hurry up! You have to come right now."
I'm quite sure it wasn't from the afterglow of the gin but for some reason, I couldn't move. My store was on fire? How could that be? I glanced at the clock. It was three in the morning.How does a fire start at that ungodly hour? Was that really Flori standing there yelling at the top of her lungs? No, it couldn't be.
"Who are you?" I said. "My store is not on fire. Go away!"
I lay back down and covered my head with blankets.Before I could close my eyes however,she'd ripped the covers off and was yelling in my ear.
