SPECIAL OPS AFFAIR (4) by Jennifer Morey: In this exciting and well-written story, Odie Frank works as an intelligence operator for Cullen McQueen and the TES. Her father was a colonel who ran counter-terror operations and was murdered. Odie’s husband, another operative, died on a mission. She refuses to fall in love with another man who will risk his life out on missions. Assigned to find out information about Hersch, the founder and CEO of Defense Initiatives, Odie is paired with newcomer Jag Benney. The handsome operator suffered his own loss: his wife turned out not to be the woman he thought she was. Jag has reason to believe that Odie’s father may have betrayed an operation. Odie can’t believe her father was a traitor and is determined to find out who killed him. Then, her contact and his source are murdered. Great characterization and a thrilling plot make this a must-read book.
