It is a divinely inspired spiritual journey down a River with a good Creator/Inner Guide and a bad Adversary along for the ride. It is written for compassionate individuals who have to learn the word "no" while maintaining his/her boundaries and his/her integrity.

Our River of Life is written to enhance the lives of those who may not know how to look at themselves positively, who tend to give others more than they are willing to, and it is a journey down a River with symbolic ties to nature.

There are two birds who are along for the ride and they battle for the reader to be more integrated with either one of them. The book gives revelation to the reader in the form of gifted words just for them from a wonderful and interested Inner Guide/Creator named King Fisher who just so happens to be a bird.  The adversary is a bad critic who wants to also feed the reader's ego in the form of another bird named, Crow Caw.

While being symbolically universally appealing, the book is really meant for those who do not know themselves enough.  This book may not be for everyone but it speaks to those who have been known to say yes to almost everyone, or otherwise known as compassionate givers.  It is inspirational as it is spiritual and it is also a book for providing tools to someone who needs to improve themselves inwardly.

Excerpt

We have found Our River of Life. It lies just beneath the surface of the ego and for all intents and purposes it has real, direct, and vital meaning. Touching on Our River of Life means understanding there is a current or direction that is necessary for us to go, that it is no longer our course to plot out and map. The course is already established, and it is up to us to follow.

We continue down the calm river. As we hit rapids we will need to rely evermore on our River to carry us through the journey. Our resolve presses us forward as we agree with our River, accept its challenges, and are guided by its narrow pathways, nooks, and crannies. Tiny, pigeon-hole, cave-like areas seemingly provide safe shelter along the banks of our River to get us through all storms, and when we are ready for the ride again, a rush of excitement moves us forward and down a fast moving waterfall. The waterfall’s crescendo is heard for miles away as we allow it to carry us to that rapturous, splashing bottom.
