Man has made several discoveries, yet the discovery of his own self remains an enigma. Several saints and philosophers from times immemorial, have tried to seek and provide answers to these simple questions- Who am I? Who is God? Does God exist? Do we need Him? Gian Kumar, through his e-book ‘Know Thyself’, has made an effort to provide these answers in the most simplistic manner, so that it is comprehensible to all.
Knowing yourself is indeed a very important, as well as most challenging task. When people know and understand clearly who they are, they have a better chance of achieving what they want from life. Knowing your inner self is the key to a successful, happy and fulfilling life.

Reflection
While I can't say this book is for everybody where they are at in their lives right now. My wish is that everybody who has a passion for personal transformation ,read this book.
This book can be a challenge to digest because the reading can be content heavy and an article may need several reads for true understanding. It throws light on practical,meaningful subjects like the process of and challenges associated with understanding your ego, the never ending lust for money,consciousness and so on.
Having said that, given the times we live in there isn't a better time for this book to be published.
I am positive the reader shall find the book incredibly helpful in learning to accept and understand his thoughts and ultimately be a more peaceful individual.
I recognise this as a book that I will read again and again over the years and always get something new out of it in this discovery of myself.
Mid-life Crisis
A couple of years ago I found myself going through a mid-life crisis. Not knowing how to handle my life from here on, I started surfing the net for ebooks on philosophy and guidance, quietly, without telling my family, for fear of them mocking me! The name 'Know Thyself' intrigued me; maybe this would hold the answers I was looking for, I wondered. I had tried a few other authors, but somehow could not connect. Wow! The author here, was simply telling me to do something I had forgotten how to, in the maze of daily living. Look within yourself! Ha, I thought, this should be easy! How very wrong I was! As Mr. Kumar rightly points out, looking within involves accepting a lot of failings - your shadow self - which also shows you may have a courageous side you have never known about!

The author has, through these articles, very simply and effectively revealed some truths about life and its hidden dimensions. He leads us, step by step,onto that mystical path of self-discovery and awareness. He teaches us to know and accept our faults, recognize the darker side of human nature, and gain positively from this knowledge. We are delivered from the world of 'Maya' or delusion, and taken into the higher realms of thought.
In short, this book has answered many of my questions on Spirituality. I am glad I read it.
