Suddenly it disappears and a distorted female voice narrates some of the text partially appearing on the display. “In 2037, Earth reached a breaking point. A new government entity had to be established, one that would unite the global interests of all the…” the voice phases out. “In 2038, the Global Union Authority was formed…” the screen and voice gets distorted and the rest of text and narrative turned incomprehensible. “In 2067, the first human mining Colony is completed on the Moon. He struggles to raise his arm, but the nurse turns swiftly, showing her shadowy and horribly disfigured face as she screeches at him. In a fast, frightened blink she vanishes, but Corey remains terrified, his heart rate increases rapidly along with his breathing as he shakes in the bed. Each breath he takes troubles him, causing him pain. Trembling, he tries to look around; squinting with still partially blurred vision, he scans the room. C.J. Phoenix is a soldier, a survivor, and a bad ass! His journey through a destroyed city on Mars is so unbelievable, that you have to read it twice to get the full impact of it. My suggestion is to read Robert's trilogy of anthologies, "Enlightened by Darkness," to get some rare nuggets of pure evilness that will foreshadow this explosive ride in "Seed of Evil." You will be shouting out loud for Corey in his encounters with some of the most horrific creatures I've ever read about. I want Corey on my side when this darkness finds its way to earth! This is a must read, but hold on!

Robert Friedrich has a unique way of storytelling; one that grasps the reader in the clutches of his characters' minds.

Be prepared to go on the ride of your life all while dodging the flames of the not so distant future.

This brilliant author and excellent book will have you wondering what is lurking around ALL the corners you come across in life.

The characters are fun to get to know, even the ones you need to watch out for; however, COREY steals the show.

I look forward to more volumes of Seed of Evil. I was not prepared, and this amazing 'fireball', Seed of Evil: An Ancient Evil Rises, overtook me....in the most awesome of ways!
