Want to really know what it's like to become a Maine? These are the hard facts
Hell Beyond Hell is a novelette based on series of true events. It is an extremely intense short passage concerning the specific training and phases of filtration that our Marines go through prior to be sent to the front line in Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. During this process, the strong survive and the weak fall off to the wayside.
The story is an intense one, thus it provokes thought, education and hopefully solutions to help our Marines.
The Authors’ intention was to keep as much of the Military verbiage and policies in check as much as possible. Any errors are unintentional and we welcome not only corrections, but thoughts, stories, and reviews through your comments.
Finally, since I, Joanne Moore, do not think that we give back to those of our sons, brothers and fathers on the front line, all royalties for this project are being directly deposited by Amazon into a college fund for Kent Mullins' baby daughter. Neither of us wanted to take credit for this project, so in the end, we agreed to these terms.

The bus trip was ten hours long from Kentucky to South Carolina. It was late at night and pitch black outside. No scenery could be seen. The January cold was left behind miles ago. Unbeknownst to passengers, they were nearing their destination.
The bus pulled over in the darkness. The driver, your typical middle aged man who had likely survived on cigarettes and coffee his entire life, made a half-assed effort to twist his body around and face his passengers.
“PUT YOUR HEADS DOWN BETWEEN YOUR KNEES, KEEP IT THERE AND KEEP YOUR MOUTHS SHUT. DO NOT LOOK AROUND, LOOK AT THE FLOOR,” he shouted.
Nope, this was not Greyhound. Certainly not. The passengers did as they were told.

Reviews for "Hell Beyond Hell; The Marine's War In Afghanistan"
This has been an emotional journey for two people from completely different backgrounds. I am from the Northeast and Kent Mullins is from Kentucky. He enlisted in the Marines in 2010 and was sent to the front line to fight the Taliban. Additionally and for absolute clarity, this has been a joint effort of pains and joys of writing that are narrative, editing, reediting and self-publishing. Kent's story, although told only through his eyes, is also exactly what each and every one of our Marines experiences from Parris Island to Afghanistan. It is intense and some of you will not be able to handle it. It will provoke thought and hopefully strip us down to realize that when we leave this earth, we leave only with our character. JM
