Excerpt

Chapter 1: What Exactly is Memory Loss?

It happens to everyone from time to time. Maybe one day you suddenly blank out when trying to remember your password at the ATM, even though you’ve used the same one for years. Maybe you have that frustrating lapse in conversation where you can’t for the life of you remember the name of a simple object.
When memory glitches are infrequent, they are seldom cause for concern. Eventually, you remember what you forgot and get on with your life. If you’ve started to forget more and more often, however, you may be experiencing age-related memory loss.
It can be scary to find your memory is slipping. Memory loss, or amnesia, can come about slowly or all at once, can be temporary or permanent, and can occur in people of all ages.

Use it or Lose it. Your memory and brain function!

Memory loss can be scary. Most of us don’t think of memory loss until it’s too late. I had short term memory loss during a period in my life. As I get older it is something I do think about and that’s why I bought this book. We are taught to exercise our body. Now I know that it’s just as important to exercise the mind as well. Memory health equals mental exercise. What good is a healthy body without a heathy brain that remembers. I liked that there were people who shared their experiences with memory loss that related to what the author said in this book. I learned so much from reading this book. I found that exercising your brain and memory is as simple as learning something complex. The book showed me the difference between what’s normal and what’s not normal.

Great Little Book!

This book provides a Very easy simple read.
I like the fact that this book is written in a 'light' way that does not create an intensity where it may frighten someone to continue reading about the fear of losing their memory.
It is a very good basic book for someone wanting to just find out if their memory lapse is 'benign' or something more serious!
The points and suggestions for keeping the brain 'fit' is very helpful!
I was really worried about my own forgetfulness, but after reading this, I could say, based on your book, I have nothing to be too concerned about! My sporadic forgetfulness sounds like it is due to too much multi-tasking, not enough sleep, etc ..
I can certainly recommend this book to anyone who wants to bring awareness into the importance of cognitive health!

Helpful to everyone!

Losing my memory has always been something that I feared would happen to me or any of my loved ones. I know that it is a possibility and it could happen since our grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s. So when I found this book, I didn’t hesitate to get a copy of my own. I particularly loved the fact that it’s such a light read and doesn’t have too many pages filled with boring stuff. The book gives you insight on what mental exercises are and I never knew it was something I could use to improve my memory. Thanks so much to this book, I realized that with just a few brain exercises, I could do something to improve my own memory.

If you guys have the same fear as I do, I’d recommend you pick up a copy of the book today. It’ll definitely help you a lot!
