John sat at his desk in his new office looking over the Western Hills Clan’s books. The Clan was in a lot better shape financially; better than he expected them to be. With the Alpha trying to sell his daughter to his Beta he figured the Clan was out of money. John Marquis had just been made the Alpha of the Western Hills Clan by The Coronal of the Council. They were the governing agency for all bear shifters and they had imprisoned the Alpha and Beta for their misconduct with Ginger. She was the daughter of the Alpha and he was trying to sell her to his Beta for $100,000 and was going to force her to mate with his Beta. This is not allowed in the governing agency so they were arrested by the Coronal and his enforcers. He appointed John as Alpha and Wayne Ramsey his Beta. Wayne was mated now to Ginger so the Coronal hoped that it would give them some leverage in getting the Clan to accept them and follow them. Wayne was young and didn’t know much about being a Beta but John was willing to teach him and Wayne was a quick learner.
