The years after World war one were turbulent ones.There were coup and conter-coup attempts. The riots,murders and political chaos had continued since the end of the war.
In January 1919 in a small hotel outside Munich, named the Furstenfelder Hoff, a new political party was being formed.This was the birth of the DAP, or 'Deutsche Arbeiter Partei'; the German Workers party.
The founding members of this new political party are Anton Drexler, Karl Harrer, Gottfried Feder and Dietrich Eckhart. They were a small group of disaffected men who, like millions more in Germany, felt that something had to be done to restore order in their country.
A Gewrmn Army Reichswehr spy had been ordered to infiltrate them, attend their DAP meetings and monitor their movements,that spy was Corporal Adolf Hitler.
