When hotheaded Cuban bandleader Dicky Delgado is accused of murdering his ditzy redheaded wife Lilly, it’s up to defense attorney Barry Bason to get him off, with the assistance of his beautiful secretary, Ella Rhodes, and handsome private eye Saul Trake -- and a rumpled LAPD homicide detective named Larry Palumbo. Can they outwit Lt. Dragg and District Attorney Hammond Borger? And why is that man in the white suit and straw fedora skulking around the hospital with a camera and tape recorder, acting like he’s just seen a ghost?
