I literally felt the tension of Angela’s deep rooted anger towards her mother’s budding romance. I wanted to reach into the book and wrap my arms around the teenager and tell her that everything was going to be alright. An author who has the ability to make me feel that much emotion is top notch in my eyes.
The love scenes will take you to unimaginable heights. Not only are these scenes everything true love should be, they are beautifully and tastefully written. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Changing Tides is definitely a five out of five block buster romance. It is a must read for all.

Monica is a widow with three children. She meets Dr. Jason when he takes care of her 12 year old son Mitchell after a baseball injury. Although Monica never thought she’d ever be involved with a man again, Jason is taken with her at first sight and determined to get to know this beautiful lady better. Plus, at 47 years old, Jason is ready to complete his military service and is looking to settling down. Three children and a dead husband provide Monica with some baggage that must be worked out. I won’t spoil the story for you though.
I enjoyed reading this contemporary military related romance. It is a little off what I normally read, but well worth my time. Well written, the story moved at a good pace. The characters were interesting, likeable and believable. Plus, this is a story with characters who are a little older and have more life experience! Tamara Hoffa is a new writer for me. I will definitely be reading more of her works. I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Monica Montgomery is a widow raising three kids. Her deceased husband was in the military but was killed in a motorcycle accident when he was home. She meets Jason Knight, an Orthopedic Surgeon, when he performs surgery on her 12 year old son's knee.

Jason is instantly attracted to Monica. It takes a little bit for Monica to risk opening up herself with someone else. I thought that Dan, her deceased husband, even though he loved his family came across as being a little self centered. I loved that Jason puts Monica first.

They do have some rocky parts. You're going to when you have teenage children involved and past baggage. Which makes this story so believable and realistic.

I loved the characters in the book and how they entertwined with each other
