It was a charming little abode but due to a slight mishap one night, she discovered something quite appalling!
Starling Stone was a recent Bachelor of Science college graduate from the state of Massachusetts, who had a stroke of good fortune when she landed a great job as a Pharmaceutical Representative for a large Pharmaceutical company in one of her most admired towns of Chester, Vermont. But due to her financial woes, she rented a cute inexpensive duplex apartment in a small-subdued community where she encountered an unsightly peeping tom who was mesmerized by her beauty and her nudity. Consequently, due to a slight mishap, she discovered that the gruesome snooper had complete access to her comfy little dwelling, overwhelmingly invading her privacy.
Excerpt
“Oh my God Starling, you’ve got a peeping tom!”
“Where?” They panicked.
“In the bathroom! I’m going to call the police!!” Julia quaked, quickly dialing as Starling eased over towards the bathroom entrance to take at look.
“What a psycho! He has nothing better to do than to look at a woman’s ass!!”
“We’ve got to get out of here!” One of the other girls shrieked.
“No! It's better that we stay inside. Besides, he may be lurking around out there!” Starling advised.
“Oh this is freaking me out! I sure wish the police would hurry!! Sometimes it takes forever when you really need them!” One of the girls whimpered. Moments later the doorbell rang, spooking her.
All together they ambled to the living room to look out the door’s peephole to see that the police had arrived.
“It’s the police!” Starling announced quickly opening the door.
“Oh thank God!” Julia replied.
“Come in officers!” Starling invited.
“Good evening ladies! Well, I should say Good Morning!” Glancing at his watch to notice that it was 3:20am. “What seems to be the problem?” he inquired.
“We’ve had another occurrence from that peeping tom again!” Starling explained.
“You mean you’ve had an encounter before Starling?” The girls scowled.
“Yeah, about a week ago and these officers came to check things out for me!”
“Yeah we just happened to be a few blocks over when we got the call. Now show us where you saw the intruder.” They asked as the girls hastily led them towards the bathroom.
“Uh, seems like this weirdo has access to the attic. Do you ladies have any idea who could be doing this? Any male encounters recently or old boyfriends who could be stalking you or anything like that?” One officer asked.
“No, I’ve had no acquaintances! I’ve recently moved here from out of state less than a month ago. And these are my visiting friends who just arrived yesterday but no, I have no idea who this pervert is!” Starling informed.
“Okay here is what we need to do, we need to get up in that attic to look around. Do you have an attic door or anything like that here in this apartment?” One of the officers asked looking around.
“No, there isn’t any ceiling door in this apartment that I know of.” Starling informed.
“Okay we’re going to look around out back to see what we can find. You ladies just stay put inside and lock the doors behind us.” The officer instructed.
“Okay, sure!” They agreed letting the officers out the door then locking it.
“Gosh Starling! Why didn’t you tell us you had a peeping tom?” One of her friends asked.
“I didn’t think anything about it really. I mean it was just that one incident and I figured some silly teenager just wanted to get his rocks off by staring!”
“That’s sick!” Her friend Terri retorted.
“I think it’s kind of hot myself.” The other named Julia remarked.
“You know what I think Starling, you may need to think about moving away from here! Who knows what frame of mind this guy is in?” Terri declared.
“We already know Terri! He likes to stare at a woman’s ass!” Julia chuckled.
“You’re joking Julia but I’m serious! Doesn’t this make you just a slight bit uncomfortable Starling?” Terri quizzed.
