Guess what? I’m in trouble again.
It’s all because we had show and tell. Luke showed the class a bowl of hairy plants that eat insects.
I said they were pretty cool, almost as cool as Martie.
Luke grinned and said, “Better. I can find my plants.”
Sarah Rose showed the class a big hairy spider with red knees. Then I showed the class my Shrink Ray. That’s when the trouble started.
Miss Petal said, “Frankie, stop being silly. There’s no such thing as a Shrink Ray. Please put that remote control away.”
Only we were already shrinking.
“Cool,” said Henry.
Miss Petal folded her arms. “Very clever, Frankie. Turn us back to our proper size. Right now!”
“Oops,” I said. “The Shrink Ray fell into that bowl with Luke’s plants.”
“Oh no,” said Sarah Rose. “I think I dropped my spider.”
The class groaned. We all looked around. No spider. Phew. “Don’t worry, Miss Petal,” said Tim, “Spiders don’t eat people.”
“They might eat people who are two centimetres tall,” I pointed out helpfully.
