Excerpt
The girl slid off the bed.
“WHY?”
She looked at the mirror. The naked, scared, and shattered body stared back at her. Her expression grew blank. No remorse. No tears. Nothing. He had taken everything from her. Now she had taken everything from him.
She stepped into the shower letting the water wash away the blood but not the pain. For the man my be gone but the pain will never leave her.
Soon she leaves this place of torture the body resting where it lay. The bloody tools he used on her cleaned and tucked neatly away in their secret places.
It takes quite an imagination to come up with 14 tales about being in the dark. I might be able to come up with three or four. Still, the very brief excerpt from one story is in the light because she is looking in the mirror and it isn't dark at all. I get my most vivid, and terrifying, dreams and nightmares in the dark, but they are mostly scenes in the light and even some of them are in color.
