When you are no longer ashamed, embarrassed, or in denial of any part of your life journey that purpose is manumitted to freely express itself to the world. From Stagnation to Transformation is a testament of the above statement; if you find yourself struggling with arriving at that very locus, I admonish you to begin your personal twenty-one day expedition towards transformation.

From Stagnation to Transformation is Clifton Pettyjohn’s emancipation proclamation from years of torpidity. Stagnation is not merely the absence of productivity but rather it is the art of producing beneath your abilities or beneath the quality of production associated with the essence of your purpose.

Therefore, this book is not just for individuals in search of their purpose but also for those who are capable of cognitively expressing their purpose but lack the ability to generate the required amount of energy to consistently produce with purpose.

Excerpt

INTRODUCTION

Romans 12:1-2 (VOICE) “Brothers and sisters, in light of all I have shared with you about God’s mercies, I urge you to offer your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice to God, a sacred offering that brings Him pleasure; this is your reasonable, essential worship. 2 Do not allow this world to mold you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete.”

Have you ever grown weary of contemplating and talking about what should have, could have, or was supposed to have happened, and what you should have started or accomplished at this point in your life? Maybe you’ve reached the state of, there must be more to life than this; I halt to assure you that there is indeed “more”. In reaching these defining moments frustration is introduced to our inward desire for a weightier purpose. Being found in this state or space of life presents not a problem, but rather countless opportunities. Misidentification of this presentation causes us to hinder our ability to consistently develop the skills or apply the skills necessary to progress beyond the state of stagnation. These stages are usually nurtured by unhealthy times of isolation and pity parties. I have learned to personalize my pity parties, I call them “Clif parties”; by replacing “pity” with my name it requires me to take ownership of my present state by giving it an identity. I would even go a little further to say, me having a “Clif party” and you having a “PLACE NAME HERE party” is not the rootstock of the problem. Understand, there is purpose within the party because it will cause you to face the truth of your lack of character development maturity. It was at this place that I realized transition was necessary and I decided to tackle this journey.

Today I extend a personal invitation to you, yes you, over the next 21 days we will embark on an adventure of great self-discovery and enlightenment that will be challenging and rewarding. I present the following question; are you up for the challenge? It is not a matter of ability that keeps you stagnate but rather your perception, approach, and your labeling of the challenges (opportunities) before you. Many of us have a negative perception of the words change, challenge and transformation. It is that negative outlook that causes us to psych ourselves out prior to beginning the process. The term “psyching oneself or someone out” means to mentally defeat oneself or another prior to the beginning of what you are about to face. This fact directs us back to today’s scripture which encourages us to be renewed and transformed from unproductive thoughts that lead to us constantly psyching ourselves out.

WELCOME TO THE JOURNEY, YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

Confess, believe, own it and watch it manifest in your life.

"I have been waiting for Mr. Pettyjohn to put to paper some of the knowledge and wisdom he has acquired over the years. He truly has done so in this book. If you remain stagnate while reading this book I can promise you it because it is your choice to do so. The principles outlined in this book are practical yet powerful. I undoubtedly recommend this book and I look forward to more from this author."

"Stagnation To Transformation" isn't just your typical self-help book. It is a experience the reader is taken through being warned, and guided every step of the way. The author not only motivates you, he also coaches you on many different levels throughout the pages, and chapters. At times it feels as if you were sitting in a office, along side a counselor debriefing you about what problem or situation you may have been in. Another thing that really stood out was the scriptures that kind of painted a picture of what direction the up coming chapter would take you. I think this book help me understand many things I have overlooked in my life, and motivates me to better myself in those areas. With that being said "Stagnation To Transformation" is not just recommended for those who need the help, and motivation. The book is also for readers like me that needs a little push, and reminder on how much better you could make your life by looking within yourself."
