Laura’s twin brother was one. The family knew for years that he harbored mean feelings toward his sister. Lars’ father had talks with him as he begged that he change his ways, but the boy couldn’t do it. Eventually, he was sent away to Phillips Academy. Keeping the twins apart helped but when they were together, the same behavior surfaced. What was the answer?
Laura loved Lars deeply even though he treated her with disrespect. Eventually, his actions demonstrated the most depraved and extreme misogyny on record. How could a twin brother hate his sister this much?

Dear God, I can’t believe this is happening! My worst fear, please help me. I can see my dorm. There's my window on the top floor. The light from the Tiffany lamp looks peaceful, welcoming. Safety is only a short time away. Even though the weather is cool on this beautiful fall evening, perspiration covers me.
No! I can hear the horrible things they are saying. Their threats are terrifying! Who are these animals?
Why did I go out right before a major exam? I know better than this, especially in my senior year. Before I left the safety of the dorm, I promised myself that I would only drink one beer. Instead, I had two, which I swallowed quickly. I was in a hurry to return to my dorm. Did I have a warning something terrible would happen? Now, three men are chasing me. What they are saying is terrifying. I can’t maintain this speed much longer. My lungs feel as if they will ex- plode! God, please help me!
The three men watched me at Robert’s Halloween party. Most of his guests wore costumes, but I had not taken the time from studying to dress for fun. If only I had remained in my dorm, this would not be happen- ing. At the party, one of the three seemed very famil- iar. His eyes, I was confident that I knew him. A black mask covered his face, but not his eyes.
Suddenly, the man in the back of the group is gain- ing on everyone. He runs as if he were a track star. He is laughing and saying horrible things. Just as I start to stumble, he grabs me.
His breath is foul with cigarettes and stale beer. His body odor is strong with perspiration. I wish that I could die right now to avoid this pain. I know what is coming; without a word, he is on top of me. In- evitably, every woman must fear such action. He is much stronger than me. I don’t stand a chance. Grop- ing and slobbering in my face, he is rough. His coarseness is repulsive. Suddenly, he raises himself off me. Nothing has happened. He may think that it did, but I have suffered no harm. He is so intoxicated that he doesn’t know what he is doing.
The second man is suddenly on top of me, but the same scenario occurs. He is impotent due to the liquor and probably drugs. The three are sneering as if they have done something horrible, but they haven’t! Just like the first attacker, he rises, as he gives the two a high five over me while they push the third man at me.
He also smells as if he hasn’t bathed in days. The breath is so foul that I fear I may throw up. He rolls on me and pushes himself against me. Grunting and groaning, this third man repulses me more than the others. He is also unable to perform. They are pathet- ic to put themselves in such a condition. His eyes, this is the one who earlier seemed familiar. Without warn- ing, he utters my name. Horror worse than anything I suffered this night feeds my soul. I have disbelief that something so despicable could occur; this is beyond the ravages of rape. His actions are unnatural and evil. I feel unable to remove myself from under him. He must think that he raped me, but he did not. I fi-
nally free my right arm and grab his mask. Quickly, I rip it over his head. Our eyes meet. For a brief mo- ment, we look at each other in shock. He seems as appalled as I feel. My suspected horrors are con- firmed. The others are laughing loudly.
This evil man slowly arises as he stumbles. Coarse language tears through the night air. These three look down at me as if I am the animal. The only thing I feel is a desire to die. How can I continue living? Even though I was not raped, I feel worthless as though it is my fault. Anger coursed through my veins one mo- ment, the next embarrassment and humiliation. Now, in a fetal position, I lie without movement.
Just leave!
I shout at them in my mind.
The third man, who has reapplied his mask, speaks
in a loud voice.
“See, I delivered. Where are the drugs that you
promised in payment? You got what you wanted even if it wasn’t terrific.”
He kicks at my coiled form as though attempting to make contact to me with his foot. Instead, he almost falls.
They continue to laugh while walking away.
“Follow us. We will give you what we promised, Lars. Good job, what other ladies can you provide?” The men turn to look at me one final time. At last,
they stroll away in a perpetually drugged haze. Slowly, I rise realizing they did not harm me phys-
ically; I remain entirely clothed. The horror of what transpired will never leave me. My brother always
hated me. I had no idea how much until now. The question disrupts my confused mind.

After reading a synopsis of this book, readers feel they have an idea of what the pages hold--well guess again.
If your idea of a well-written suspense is the one that keeps you guessing-- this is the book for you.
The author weaves the story around a theme that had the makings of being quite unusual and she pulled it off.
To say the author has the gift of creativity and stretches her imagination in this 'chills up your spine' publication--is an understatement.
The reader falls into the characters' lives and is spellbound as years pass and chaos reigns. The plot is incredible with remarkably honest characters of good and evil.
I have never read anything like this book. Worth the time!

I'm impressed with that title of one of the 50 top people to read and 12 books in five years. You obviously are a dedicated writer and promoter from your picture. I lack both.
The title of your book and its subject matter caught my eye because I've observed over the years the double standard applied when men think they are superior to women. Especially when a woman who is bright or talented in some way impinges on a man's world. While I've never had bad thoughts towards women, only loving ones, some of my friends and colleagues have said and done things that I abhorred when I heard them say them on when I heard that they did them. Your book is timely because of the revealing of major personalities who have gotten away with criminal activity. It's a disgrace that needs to be brought to the forefront.
